Private tools for plural systems and DID

Mosaic brings together everything a plural system actually needs: front tracking, safety planning, journaling, medication reminders, and therapist-ready reports — in one private, accessible place. Optional AI check-ins are available when you enable them, and use only the system information you choose to provide.

Before you sign up

  • Free to use. No credit card required.
  • Your data is stored privately and is never sold or shared with advertisers.
  • AI check-ins are optional and only active when you enable them. When enabled, only context you have provided is sent to OpenAI for processing and is never stored in Mosaic's database or used to train models.
  • You can export all your data or permanently delete your account from Settings at any time.
  • Guest mode lets you explore the full app for 7 days with no account. Nothing is lost when you convert.

What Mosaic includes

  • Front tracking — Log who is fronting, record co-fronts, and see a full timestamped switch history.
  • System member profiles — Name, pronouns, role, colour, communication notes. No limit on system size.
  • AI check-ins (optional; only active when enabled) — A trauma-informed AI powered by the system information you choose to provide. Fronting state shapes its responses: it greets whoever is at front and adapts to that person's preferences.
  • Safety planning — Reachable in one tap. Includes local crisis lines matched to your region.
  • Grounding exercises — Breathing, sensory, and distraction tools from the dashboard.
  • Private journal — Timestamped entries with optional daily reminders.
  • Mood and trigger tracking — Separate from journal entries for cleaner pattern analysis.
  • Medication tracking — Scheduled push reminders and one-tap dose logging.
  • Internal messaging — Headmates leave notes for each other across switches.
  • Therapist reports — Weekly PDF or text summary: fronting, mood, medications, journal highlights.
  • Data import — Move from Simply Plural, PluralKit, or Octocon in seconds.

About Mosaic

A private tool suite built specifically for people living with Dissociative Identity Disorder, OSDD, and other plural experiences.

What Mosaic is

Mosaic brings together the tools a plural system actually needs — front tracking, private journaling, medication records, safety planning, grounding exercises, and a trauma-informed AI companion — in one private, screen-reader-accessible app.

Everything is designed around how DID actually works: systems that switch mid-day, headmates who need different communication styles, and safety tools that must be reachable in seconds. Fronting state directly drives the AI companion's behaviour — it greets whoever is currently at front by name and adapts its responses to that person's recorded preferences.

Our values

  • Privacy first

Your data is stored privately and is never sold or shared with advertisers. When AI check-in is enabled, conversations use only information you provide and are sent to OpenAI for processing only — not stored in Mosaic's database after the session ends.

  • Trauma-informed design

Features are designed with DID in mind — not retrofitted from a single-person app. The AI does not repeatedly ask you to re-explain your system. Safety tools are never more than two taps away.

  • Accessibility

Built to WCAG 2.2 AA standards: screen-reader labelled, keyboard navigable, tested with assistive technology. Every interactive element meets minimum contrast and touch-target size requirements.

  • No lock-in

Export all your data at any time as JSON or PDF. Permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings. No support ticket required for either.

Mobile app

Android: available now as a direct APK download — no Play Store needed. Full feature parity with the web app, plus push notifications and biometric lock (fingerprint or face). Sideloading instructions are shown after download.

iOS: coming soon. The iOS version is in active development. Create an account and we will notify you when it launches.

Public demo

Mosaic offers a guest mode — a full 7-day preview with no account required. All features are unlocked. When you convert to a free account, nothing is lost. Choose "Try as a guest" on the sign-in page.

Data and AI

  • Your system data is stored in Mosaic's private database and never shared.
  • AI check-ins send only the minimum context to OpenAI — name and preferences of whoever is fronting, plus the current message.
  • OpenAI is not used as persistent memory. Conversations are not stored in the Mosaic database after the session.
  • You can delete your AI conversation history from Settings at any time.

How Mosaic works

A step-by-step walkthrough of every feature — what it does, how it fits into daily life, and what makes it different for plural systems and DID.

  1. Build your system roster

Each headmate gets their own profile: name, pronouns, role, colour, communication preferences, and private notes. You control who can see what. There is no limit on system size.

Moving from Simply Plural, PluralKit, or Octocon? Import your entire roster in seconds from the Import page — no retyping required. Note: Simply Plural servers go offline by June 2026.

  2. Log who is fronting right now

Tap or click to record the current front. You can log a single fronter, a co-front, or mark the front as unclear. Every switch is timestamped and saved to your front history automatically.

Fronting state directly drives the AI companion's behaviour. When you open a check-in, the AI greets whoever is at front by name and tailors its language and focus to that person's recorded preferences.

  3. Run a trauma-informed AI check-in

When AI is enabled, it can use the headmate names and preferences you choose to provide. It adapts to whoever is fronting without asking you to re-explain your system. Check-ins can cover mood, recent switches, grounding needs, or anything you want to process.

AI conversations are sent to OpenAI only for processing. They are not stored in Mosaic's database after the session ends and are never used to train models. Delete conversation history from Settings at any time.

  4. Use grounding and safety tools instantly

Grounding exercises, sensory profiles, breathing guides, and an emergency safety plan are reachable in one or two taps. Your safety plan includes local crisis lines matched to your region.

Sensory profiles let each headmate record what helps them regulate, what to avoid, and what signals a dissociative episode may be starting.

  5. Journal, track mood, and log triggers

Each journal entry is private and timestamped. Set a daily reminder so journaling becomes part of your routine. Mood logs and trigger records are kept separate from journal entries for cleaner pattern analysis.

Journal entries and mood data are included in the weekly therapist report. You control exactly which entries are exported.

  6. Track medications with reminders

Add any medication with dose, schedule, and notes. Mosaic sends a push notification at the scheduled time. Log each dose with one tap — taken, skipped, or late.

Medication logs are included in the weekly therapist report so your prescriber can see adherence patterns alongside mood and front history.

  7. Send internal messages between headmates

Headmates leave messages for each other inside the app — updates, reminders, or anything that needs to be passed forward across a switch.

Messages are private and visible only to system members — not to therapists, not to the AI, and not to anyone outside the system.

  8. Generate a therapist-ready weekly report

Before your session: a structured weekly summary — who fronted and when, mood patterns, journal highlights, medication adherence, safety incidents. Exports as PDF or plain text.

Designed to reduce the burden of explaining your week from scratch at every session. Your therapist gets a structured picture; you spend the session on what matters.

Privacy and data

  • Your data is stored privately and never sold or shared with advertisers.
  • AI check-in is optional and only active when you enable it. When enabled, only context you have provided is sent to OpenAI — not stored in Mosaic's database after the session.
  • Export all your data or delete your account from Settings at any time.

Privacy Policy

Mosaic is designed for people who need to keep sensitive health and identity information private. Here is what that means in practice.

What we collect

  • Account information

Email address and a hashed password. We do not collect your legal name, date of birth, or any government identifier.

  • System and health data you create

System member profiles, journal entries, mood logs, medication records, front history, messages, and safety plans. This data is stored privately and is never sold or shared with advertisers.

  • AI check-in context

AI check-in is opt-in and only active when you enable it. When you start a conversation, only the system information you have chosen to provide is sent to OpenAI — typically the name and preferences of whoever is fronting, plus your message. OpenAI is not used as persistent memory. Conversations are not stored in Mosaic's database after the session and are never used to train OpenAI models.

  • Usage data

Basic server logs (timestamps, routes accessed) for security and uptime monitoring. No third-party analytics trackers.

What we do not do

  • Sell your data to third parties.
  • Share your data with advertisers.
  • Use your journal entries, messages, or health data to train AI models.
  • Retain AI conversations in the Mosaic database after the session.
  • Lock you in — export your data or delete your account at any time.

Your rights

Export all your data as JSON or PDF from Settings → Export. Permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account. Both are available without contacting support.

Grounding tools

Breathing exercises, sensory anchoring, and orientation techniques — available without an account.

Breathing exercises

Box breathing, 4-7-8, and paced breathing guides to slow the nervous system quickly.

Sensory grounding

5-4-3-2-1 technique, cold water orientation, and physical anchoring exercises.

Orientation reminders

Simple prompts to locate yourself in time and space during a dissociative episode.

Loading grounding tools…

Grounding exercises

Practical techniques for regulating the nervous system, orientating after a switch, and managing dissociation — no account required.

Box breathing

Inhale 4 counts, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4. Repeat four times. Slows the nervous system and is safe to do anywhere.

5-4-3-2-1 sensory grounding

Name 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, 1 you can taste. Anchors you to the present moment.

After-switch regulation

Notice where you are, what time it is, what is in front of you. Take three slow breaths before responding to anything urgent.

Feet on the floor

Press both feet flat on the floor. Notice the pressure and texture. Say: "I am here. I am in my body." Repeat until the room feels more solid.
