# Mosaic

> Private tools for plural systems and DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder)

Mosaic is a trauma-informed, privacy-first SaaS application built specifically for plural systems and people with DID. It is not a general mental-health app — it is designed around the lived experience of having multiple headmates, switching, co-fronting, and navigating a system.

## What Mosaic does

- **Front tracking** — Log who is fronting, note co-fronts, and track switching patterns over time. Built for how switching actually happens, not how it looks in a textbook.
- **AI check-ins** — A context-aware AI that knows your headmates, tracks what has happened, and helps you process after a hard day or a confusing switch — without judgment and without starting over every time.
- **Grounding and safety tools** — Sensory profiles, grounding exercises, and a personal safety plan accessible in seconds. Built for moments of crisis or overwhelm.
- **Therapist-ready reports** — Generate a structured weekly summary (mood, switches, journal entries) to share before a therapy session, making the most of every hour.
- **Journal** — Private journaling with optional push notification reminders on a schedule you choose.
- **Medication tracking** — Track medications, dosages, and schedule times. Receive push reminders when doses are due.
- **Mood and trigger tracking** — Log mood and identify triggers over time.
- **Internal messaging** — Headmates can leave messages for each other inside the system.
- **Task lists and system calendar** — Shared task management and scheduling across the system.
- **Weekly digest emails** — Opt-in email summaries of journal entries, front logs, and mood data.
- **Mobile app** — Available as a native app (Android APK and iOS TestFlight) with push notifications, biometric lock, and a disguise icon option.
- **Support portal** — A dedicated portal for support people and clinicians who work with the system.

## Privacy

- All data is stored in a private PostgreSQL database.
- AI check-ins use OpenAI but conversations are not used to train models.
- No advertising. No profiling. No third-party data sharing.
- Mosaic does not sell or share user data.

## How fronting state drives app behaviour

Fronting state is not just a log — it actively changes how the app behaves:
- The AI companion greets whoever is currently at front by name and adapts language, focus, and tone to that person's recorded preferences.
- Handoff notes automatically include the current fronter and their emotional state.
- Safety planning shows the safety plan most recently associated with the current front.
- Therapist reports break down mood and journal entries by fronter.

## Demo / preview

Mosaic offers a **guest mode**: a full 7-day preview of the app with no account required. All features are unlocked. When the guest converts to a free account, no data is lost. The guest option appears on the sign-in page.

## Data import

Users migrating from Simply Plural, PluralKit, or Octocon can import their system members, pronouns, roles, and front history after signing up. Simply Plural is shutting down by June 2026 — users should export their data as soon as possible.

## Mobile app

- **Android**: Available now on Google Play. Full feature parity, push notifications, biometric lock.
- **iOS**: In active development. Coming soon to the App Store.

## Access

Mosaic is a web application. A companion mobile app is available for Android (now) and iOS (coming soon).

Registration is open. Guest mode (7 days, no account) is also available. The app is private and all user data is behind authentication.
